Switch to black tea? It will be difficult to read the same amount of caffeine content but it'll be probably be more sustainable than quitting altogether
While I do like black tea a lot, sadly I seem to get a histamine response. I get a rash and feel kind of agitated. Do you take teas or coffee in your day?
I solely enjoy coffee for the taste of it. I neither use it as an enhancer in the morning nor after lunch. I drink extremely irregular, maybe 2-3 times a week when I want to enjoy a nice espresso with milk. The taste of espresso is fantastic.
As for the psychoactive stimulation, that's another part. I had times when I didn't drink coffee for a month or two without any problems or cravings but like a good piece of chocolate, I don't want to forego the taste for the rest of my life because I actually really enjoy the taste.
That is possibly the only way that one can drink coffee and still be good!
If you aren't dependent on it in any way and just do it for recreational purposes every now and then, that's good. That certainly wasn't the case with me and 99.9% of people out there!
Absolutely. The dependency is awful... for many others it’s not even the craving for coffeine, it’s the ritual of getting the coffee and connecting over it. That was/ is especially true at the workplace. You don’t know what to do in those “inbetween” times which is why many Resort to “grabbing” a coffee
Have you considered decaf coffee (e.g. below) as a way to enjoy coffee without the caffeine? (appreciate there is a little bit of residual caffeine).
I personally strictly have 1 caffeinated drink (coffee/tea) in the morning with Breakfast and one decaffeinated coffee in the afternoon - what are your thoughts on such an approach? I'm yet to go deep on completely cutting it out.
Decaf is a way to lower your caffeine consumption while not giving up on your daily coffee ritual. It doesn't have enough caffeine to matter in my opinion so I wouldn't worry about it.
If the 1 caffeinated drink does not bother you then you can go ahead and drink that. But I found that even 1 coffee a day has serious effects.. This is why I am going monk mode.

Yes I think my body is probably 20% caffeine at this point
Well if you don't get any negative symptoms you're good to go!
😅

It seems to me you are not dependent to it all.
