“How do we spot 5X’s like Duolingo, fade hype like MRNA, and time reversals on USD/JPY and Crypto — without relying on guess work?”
Since launching Philoinvestor, we’ve published several Eurozone-focused pieces exploring the future of the common currency, the political dynamics shaping the EU, and Europe’s shifting role in a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape.

We published Is the Euro here to stay? first to lay out the structural disagreements and conflicts of interests tearing the EU apart — layering on top the dismal financial situation that was only getting worse. Almost 3 years on and experience has shown this piece was prophetic.
A few months later, we sent out a short piece titled The Macron Moment to flag Macron’s strategic autonomy speech — especially with how fast geopolitics were changing.
In May of 2024 we noted the economic and strategic importance of Europe for both the US (The West) and China (The East) as they ramped up the war between themselves. We explained how the US needed Europa to maintain a unipolar order, while China needed Europa to assert its own global supremacy narrative. The cover art of the piece is named “The Flight of Europa” and it depicts the Greek myth of Europa being abducted by Zeus. In the piece we discuss how the US and China were fighting to abduct modern day Europa themselves…
In First Exit I focused more on the financial/macro part of the problem and discussed the scenaria and the path for the first country to exit the Eurozone.
In December of 2024 I recorded a 4-minute Philo’s Thoughts which frankly carries so much punch and angles that it could have been 40 minutes long. I end with former Greek PM Alexis Tsipras quoting “No man is an island” when he spoke to the European Parliament during the Greek Crisis of 2015.
Touched on all dimensions of Europe’s decline and what was required to reverse it. This was at the time Trump 2.0 was commencing and MAGA was everywhere — but why not MEGA too?
